Practice Description

Ms. Gardner’s practice focuses on white collar criminal and regulatory defense and complex commercial litigation.  Ms. Gardner has represented U.S and foreign corporate and individual clients in a wide range of civil and criminal investigations concerning insider trading, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations, and securities and accounting fraud.  In addition, Ms. Gardner has represented clients in securities class actions, and insurance, reinsurance and other complex domestic and international commercial disputes.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gardner gained extensive litigation experience as a senior litigation associate with two major international law firms and worked as pro bono counsel for a number of nonprofit groups including one of the world’s largest environmental nonprofits.   Ms. Gardner clerked for the Honorable Frank E. Schwelb on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
